La Bola Negra
-
Inspired by one of Federico García Lorca's last, unfinished works and set across three timelines — Republican Spain in 1932, the Civil War in 1937, and contemporary Spain in 2017 — La Bola Negra follows a constellation of interconnected lives centered on three young men, whose emotional and political echoes gradually reveal themselves.
The world premiere of La Bola Negra was one of the most moving moments of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi were awarded the prize for Best Director.
