Film Education

Films and film education for Kitas, schools, groups and families in Neukölln and beyond

Wolf seeks to introduce children and young people to the diverse forms and expressions of artistic film as well as the collective cinema experience from an early age and therefore shows films and short film programmes for children of all ages (starting from 4 years) every day. These can be attended by nursery groups and school classes or booked as additional dates. In addition, we offer specially selected films for all class levels with accompanying material (with introduction/moderation if desired) for the classroom - on site as well as online via our streaming portal Wolf in Space. Most films available in different language versions. Teachers and educators can also contact us with film requests or subject areas for which we are happy to develop individual offers.

Please send enquiries to filmbildung@wolfberlin.org

Our Kinoktopus Film Club for children aged 6 and over also takes place regularly. We meet once a month on Saturday afternoons in the Wolf Studio, watch films, explore our perception and try out a variety of ways to create the illusion of movement. The resulting "films" can be taken home and/or exhibited at the Wolf. So far, there have been series on the precursors of cinema from the wonder drum to the flip book as well as on the various forms of animated film. Further workshop series are being planned.

We are part of INDIEKINO CLUB, an association of ten Berlin art house cinemas. On the joint site INDIEKINOCLUB club members can stream selected arthouse and indie films online at their convenience. In addition, they receive discounted admission to all participating cinemas with their ClubCard. Club membership costs €60 per year and can be purchased online or at the cinema box offices.
