After numerous essayistic documentaries, EUROPE was the first feature film by Philip Scheffner / pong to premiere at this year's Berlinale. In it, the life of the protagonist becomes a fiction and thus an act of resistance.

In a discussion in the studio following the premiere in the cinema, we talk with producer and pong member Caroline Kirberg, assistant director Pascal Capitolin and production assistant João Carvalho about pong's self-image as a collective, about connections and differences between documentary and fictional filmmaking, working with amateur actors in a community and filmmaking as political resistance - in design as well as in the reality of work.
