The XPOSED Queer Film Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. What began as an experimental film night at a queer club has evolved into an international festival dedicated to radical queer film and community building.

In keeping with the XPOSED ethos, this year’s edition continues to focus on films that defy simple categorization, opening up new perspectives on queer identities and experiences. Globally, the visibility of queer themes is increasing, while at the same time they are being commercialized and are the subject of political contention. XPOSED continues to position cinema as a space of friction that embraces complexity and challenges the audience.
