Like a high-tech Robinson Crusoe, the AI robot Roz washes ashore on an island full of animals, who initially see him as a threat and then as a laughingstock. Little by little, Roz adapts to island life and takes on the role of surrogate parent to an orphaned dwarf goose. Based on Peter Brown’s children’s book “The Miracle of the Wild Island,” Chris Sanders directs an aesthetically and emotionally striking animated film with positive messages.
