Vincent is a young humpback whale and the son of the last whale singer who could heal the sea with his melody. Vincent also possesses this gift, but he denies it. Because he believes he is to blame for the death of his parents, he thinks it impossible to follow in his father's footsteps. Even when the monster Leviathan breaks free from a melting iceberg and threatens to destroy Vincent's home, he lacks the confidence to sing. Together with the cleaner fish Walter and the orca girl Darya, he embarks on a dangerous journey to the mythical Star Pool, where whales go after they die. He wants to bring his father back so that he can defeat the monster. Along the way, Vincent must face many trials, but above all, his deepest fear.
