Papaya is a tiny seed that lives in the Amazon. Like her mother and siblings, she’s supposed to grow into a big, colorful tree one day. But Papaya doesn’t feel like it at all! She wants to break free and see more of the world. The little seed is especially fascinated by flying. When she falls from her mother tree, she’s actually supposed to put down roots. Instead, a great adventure begins for Papaya. She meets funny plants, helpful animals, and even dresses up as a ladybug for a flying test. To avoid turning into a tree after all, she has to keep moving constantly. That requires being clever, but also a little bit of luck. After a long journey, Papaya arrives in the world of humans. Here there are streets and factories and a lot of noise. Plus, it’s not nearly as beautifully colorful as the forest. Papaya has an idea for how to make the human world much better. But to do that, she needs help from the birds and the bees. And she must find the courage and strength to make her big dream come true—even though she’s still very small. A funny and beautiful animated adventure that, without dialogue and in bright, vibrant colors, tells the story of saving nature through the power of imagination.
