The cult film from the famous Ghibli Studio is partly responsible for the worldwide popularity of the Japanese anime industry. The character Totoro has become the trademark of Studio Ghibli.

Exciting, such a move! There's something to discover everywhere: glittering fish in the river and black sooty bolts in the old house. But little Mei makes the most amazing discovery when she follows two cute creatures into the bushes and meets the friendly forest spirit Totoro. I wonder if her big sister Saki can meet him too? Together with Totoro, Saki and Mei have even more fun exploring their new home. And they have a lot to write to their mother, who is sick and recuperating in a nearby hospital. When Saki and Mei learn that their mother will have to stay there even longer than planned, they get very worried. Little Mei is desperate to visit her mother - and has suddenly disappeared! What if something has happened to her? Luckily, the kind forest spirit is there to help Saki even in her hour of need.
