With thanks to our friends at Milestone Films and thanks to Kino Lorber we gladly present films by Nancy Savoca, a pioneering American independent filmmaker known for her intimate, character-driven portraits of Italian-American life, often focusing on female perspectives and working-class narratives in New York. She will be joined by her daughter Martina Savoca-Guay who is also presenting a film, and her collaborater and husband, independent film producer Richard Guay. Alongside her acclaimed, Sundance-winning debut feature True Love (1989) we will screen Household Saints (1993) and The Many Miracles of Household Saints (2024) in the presence of our three guests.
