In collaboration with the Carte Blanche Cinema festival, which will present films from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire throughout the evening of 12 December 2022, we are pleased to show the film RÉSOLUTION in the presence of the Ivorian Ambassador.

In this haunting drama, Yenan (Evelyne Ily Juhen, who also produced the film) is a dynamic executive in her thirties who, to outsiders, leads a perfect life - a happy marriage to her husband Bruno, a respected prosecutor, a loving 16-year-old son and a position as head of a successful cocoa bean export business. But behind the scenes, Bruno is violent, and his outbursts increase when Yenan fails to conceive with the long-awaited second child. After years of silence, she slowly realises that the cycle of violence must be broken as she accepts her fears and finds the strength to face the truth.

Awarded the ECOWAS Integration Prize and the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Prize at the 2019 Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO).
