All That's Due by Franz Müller, Germany 2025, 104', German with english subtitles
Mira has what you might call a good life: she recently took on the role of manager at a supermarket, and her loving relationship with her husband and two daughters gives her support and strength. Then a single moment of weakness, in which Mira cannot bring herself to be honest, triggers a cascade of half-truths and lies. Her life becomes a struggle to keep everything from falling apart. As if that weren’t enough, she keeps hearing the voice of her bourgeois mother in her head, trying to convince her that she has set her sights too low.
Sunday 19.04, 6:30pm
Noah by Ali Tamim, Germany 2025, 80', German, Turkish, Arabic with german and english subtitles
Noah dies following a police stop, and a fateful night unfolds: For his mother, the struggle against grief and the bureaucratic red tape begins even on the way to the hospital. Two friends who live in the same neighborhood as Noah are overcome with rage upon hearing the news of his death and seek an outlet for their anger. Ibrahim, a police officer, witnesses his unit making grave mistakes due to their prejudices. Four people whose lives become intertwined—and who no longer know what else to do to belong. It’s a story of self-empowerment, told through the voices of people who are otherwise ignored or silenced.
Monday 20.04., 6:30pm
Gropiusstadt Supernova by Ben Voit, Germany 2026, 79', German, Turkish, Arabic with english subtitles
Berlin-Gropiusstadt, a prefabricated housing estate on the outskirts of the city. It is the last day of the year, filled with high hopes and the fireworks of the impatient. Three people are at a turning point: Tarik receives a letter about his impending deportation, Stella gets accepted into a drama school abroad, and Luan wakes up from a nightmare in which he is left behind by both of them. After his brother disappears and a botched robbery throws the neighborhood into turmoil, he fears the worst. A race against time begins to avert Tarik’s fate. But the more he tries to stop the course of events, the further he himself drifts into the margins.
Tuesday 21.04., 6:30pm
Dear Ellis von Yinuo Wang, Germany 2026, 13', Mandarin with english subtitles
Just under a year after the protagonist moves to Berlin, she happens to find an envelope. Inside is a letter from a father to his son Ellis, along with several drawings of ships. In her imagination, these elements come together to form a story.
