Wolf is excited to welcome film maker and film restorer Ross Lipman. Amongst Lipman's numerous restoration projects are the works of John Cassavetes, A Woman Under the Influence (1974), Faces (1968), Charles Burnett, Killer of Sheep 1977, Shirley Clarke, Ornette: Made in America (1984), and Bruce Conner, Crossroads (1976), Ross will discuss both his work as a filmmaker and as a restorer with use of examples from his many projects.

Archivist / filmmaker Ross Lipman presents an evening of archival cinema and short films, discussing the art of moving image restoration as well as new works that grow organically from the ruins of history. Examples are provided from his many restorations as well as his own acclaimed films, presented in the context of his unique perspective on restoration practice; a field he calls “The Gray Zone.”
