Romy Miller (Nicole Kidman) is the founder and CEO of a company that is just taking off on the stock market. In her private life, she is happily married to a renowned theater director (Antonio Banderas) and the mother of two daughters. Among the new interns at Romy's company is Samuel (Harris Dickinson), who confidently defies all the rules, challenges Romy's dominance and ignites repressed passions in her. They begin an affair that soon breaks all boundaries. Romy can no longer go back, increasingly loses control and puts everything at risk.

After INSTINCT and BODIES BODIES BODIES, Dutch director Halina Reijn has once again directed an intense feature film about social taboos, power games and loss of control with the erotic psychological thriller BABYGIRL, which does away with old patterns of behavior and rules. Reijn, who also wrote the screenplay, impresses with her precise characterization and a keen sense of detail and always manages to play with the audience's expectations.
